Coney Island

    Astroland Sign

This was one of the last stops (the 10th park out of 11) on our big Pennsylvania trip in July, 1999. Because this park is so unique, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the history, the ocean, the beach, the boardwalk, and the whole atmosphere of the park. It's not in the best neighborhood, but I felt completely safe the whole time I was there.

The historical Coney Island is now broken down into different parks, owned by different people. The famous Cyclone is located in Astroland, and the also famous Wonder Wheel (the oldest ferris wheel with the swinging cages) is located in Deno's Wonder Wheel Park. There are also a few rides that are owned by independent operators, such as Jumbo Jet, Carousell, and Eldorado.

Since a take-home map was not available, I'm combining all of the similar rides onto one page and will try to remember what ride was in what park. I also don't have the proper names for some of the rides, so if you have any corrections, please let me know. Enjoy!
